Springfield, Tennessee - Beulah J. Ogburn was born June 16, 1935 to the union of the late Chester and May E. Lunsford. On November 11, 2025, God sent an angel to Hillcrest Nursing Home.
She lived a long good life. She was greatly loved by many and will truly be missed.
Mother Beulah professed faith and hope in God at an early age. She was baptized at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church under the late Pastor George Wells where she was a member for many years. Later, she joined New Wells Grove under the pastorship of Pastor J. R. Utley where she sang in the Choir. She later joined First Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Emanuel Haygood. She served faithfully on the Mother's Board, the Choir and did whatever she could to serve God until her health failed, and could no longer serve. She was a faithful and devout Christian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ogburn; two brothers; eight sisters; and two daughters, Edna Cobbs and Mary Fort.
Beulah leaves to cherish her memories: five children, Mary Lunsford, Eugene Ogburn, Harold Ogburn all of Springfield, TN, Peggy Jones of Nashville, TN and Patricia Payne of Springfield, TN; five bonus children, Boyd Ogburn, Patricia Bigbee, Will Ogburn, Ruth Lamar Indianapolis,
IN and Nancy Summers of Springfield, TN; one devoted brother, William Lunsford; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Viewing, visitation and funeral were Saturday, November 1, 2025 at First Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Emanuel Haygood, Officiant; Reverend George Ray Clemons, Eulogy; Interment was in Restlawn Memorial Garden.
