White House, TN - Cheryl Ann Ziegel Neilson, 63, born October 16th, 1962, passed away on December 16, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She will always be remembered for her love of life, which inspired those around her to try more, and hold back less.

Cheryl was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and grew up in Houston, Texas. She attended Alief Hastings High School, where she proudly excelled in volleyball and "gym," as she would say with a smile. Later, Cheryl moved to California with her daughter, Ashley Cheri, and her parents. It was there, at work, that she met the love of her life (yes, I wrote this) and began a devoted marriage that would span more than 35 years. Together, they built a beautiful family and welcomed two more daughters, Brittany Marie and Carley Anne. One of her greatest joys was becoming "Yaya" to her sweet grandchildren.

Cheryl's life was defined by her deep love for her family, friends, and faith. She was a member of Long Hollow Church and had an unwavering commitment to service. She dedicated countless years to volunteering throughout her children's schooling, generously giving her time and energy. She was especially proud of her leadership roles within the PTA, which focused on supporting children, families, and schools.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Carole Ziegel. Cheryl is survived by her devoted husband, Paul ("Paulie"); her daughters, Ashley (and son-in-law Jason), Brittany, and Carley; her father, Charlie and his wife Gayla; her cherished grandchildren, Malakai, Noa Pink, Nash, and Wyatt; and her loving puppy, Levi.

Cheryl will be remembered for her strength, dedication, generosity of spirit, humor, and the love she poured into her family and community. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family, friends, and community she loved so deeply.

Visitation is planned for Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM at Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 533 Highway 76, White House, TN 37818. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home. The family has requested that you come dressed in casual country attire. Interment will follow at White House Memorial Gardens with family and friends.
