John Samuel Sherrill Obituary

White House, TN - John Samuel Sherrill passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in White House, TN. He was born August 12, 1977, in Augsburg Germany.


John proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer running heavy equipment. He served 2 tours in Iraq during the Iraqi Freedom Campaign. John lived in Germany, Korea as well, then spent his last 20 years in Tennessee in the Nashville area. He also served in the Tennessee National Guard. John was a welder and worked in maintenance.


John enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, grilling and crockpot cooking. John loved his family and friends with all his heart.


John was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Sherrill. He is survived by his significant other, Jennifer Blackwell; children, Lizzy and Sam Sherrill; mother of John's children, Amanda McIntosh (Chris); mother, Elizabeth Sherrill Bowman (Ray); and great danes, Moose and Trooper.


A memorial service will be held Friday, November 21, 2025, 10:00AM at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 533 TN-76, White House TN 37188. Visitation will be held one hour before 9:00-10:00. His inurnment will be at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery, in Columbia, SC. at a later date.
