Nashville, Tennessee - Rebecca L. Johnson was born April 14, 1963 to the late Daisy Scharkely and James Earl Johnson, Sr. Her earthly life ended on November 7, 2025.
She was educated in the Robertson County School System graduating from Springfield High School, Class of 1982. She attended church at Bells Chapel Baptist Church. Rebecca was employed in the restaurant business working at Krystal.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Although she did not live in the same city as other family members and friends, she never forgot all the fun times and memories she had shared with
them. If you knew Rebecca, you knew she was the photographer for all occasions. She had many, many pictures to show for these memories. She enjoyed cooking which brought everyone together. Her heart was just as amazing as her food. She also loved to dress up as her favorite color was purple. Everyday she would contact her sister, Elizabeth at sunrise and talk on the phone for three hours or more. She would then reach out to her prayer partners, Kenneth Copeland Ministries and put in prayers for herself and others.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her sister, Janie Johnson; brothers, James Earl Johnson, I and James Earl
Johnson II.
Leaving to cherish precious memories: daughter, Essence Stanton; son, Braxton Johnson; grandchildren, Marcoya Stanton, Malike Harrell, James Stephen Harrell, Jr., and Ophelia Dartis; sisters, Elizabeth Johnson, Roberta Browder, Pam Johnson, and Margie Johnson; nieces, Kanisha Johnson, Franchesca Johnson, Brittni Browder, Kamarri Browder, Antonia Higgs, and Rashaundra Demonbreum; nephews, Derrick Johnson, Rodrekus Bigbee, Bobby Johnson, Deshawn Wilson, Jamariar Lucas, Zachary Johnson, and Kelan Johnson; a host of cousins, other family and friends.
