White House, TN - Retha Stone of White House, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord October 4, 2025. She was married for 63 years to her beloved husband, Jack Stone.


Retha was born in Big Sandy, Tennessee, November 23, 1931, to the late William and Ivy Beecham. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lilliam Emmett, and her brother-in-law, James Emmett. Retha is survived by her devoted husband, Jack, her beloved son, David and her grandson, Garet.


Retha retired from the former Tennessee Preparatory School in Nashville, Tennessee. She loved serving God, raising her son, loving her grandson, and standing by her husband and loved ones with loyalty. She put God first in her life and loved family and friends deeply. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a passionate love for gospel music. She was part of the Emmett Trio for many years.


Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025 11:30am-1:30pm at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in White House. A time of tribute will begin at 1:30pm, with a few friends honoring her memory. A graveside service will follow from White House Memorial Gardens with beloved Pastors Jonathan Denton and Steve Malone conducting the service.


In lieu of flowers, it was Retha's request that you give help to someone in need, along with a hug to brighten their day.
